Ye Yu

Dr./Ms. Ye Yu is Deputy Director and Associate Research Fellow of the Institute for World Economy Studies at the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), one of the leading foreign policy think tanks in China. Dr. Ye’s research and graduate student teaching work focuses on China’s participation in global economic governance, with an emphasis on international development cooperation, multilateral development banks, sovereign debt governance and the G20 and BRICS development cooperation agenda. 

Dr Ye has done numerous projects commissioned by Chinese governments and financial institutions. She is also the coordinator of the SIIS project on China-US coordination on global economic order in partnership with the Washington D.C.-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE). She got her PhD in international economic law from the Shanghai-based Fudan University and was a visiting scholar in Yale University, CSIS among others.
