The 2023 Asian Evaluation Week took place from 11 to 14 September 2023. For the first time since the pandemic, the AEW returned as a fully in-person event at the InterContinental Bangkok Hotel in Thailand. It carried the theme, "Beyond Recovery: Evaluation for Development Effectiveness".
Sessions for the 2023 AEW were centered on the following subthemes:
