Dr. Ahmed Abdelgawad is an international development professional with over 17 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and strategic management. He is a medical doctor who holds two master’s degrees: a Master's in public policy, and a Master's in immunology and statistics. He worked for the USAID Education sector in Jordan. He also worked for Save the Children for 7 years, including 4 years as regional Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning adviser, overseeing the evaluation and strategic work in 18 countries in MENA and Eurasia regions.
He worked as an international consultant for UNICEF RO, UN Women RO, UNDP, WFP, IRC, PLAN International, and CARE International. He evaluated emergency programs in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Ukraine, Libya, and Palestine. He masters SPSS, STATA, R, and Epi-info among other quantitative and qualitative skills. He is an active member of IDEAS, EvalMENA, and AfrEA. He is also a founding member of the Egyptian Evaluation Association.
