Senior Economist (Development Impact)

Kalyani joined EREA as Senior Economist (Development Impact) on 13 April. Prior to joining ADB, she was a Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). While at IFPRI, she worked on or led projects in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Guatemala, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria and Ethiopia. Her research interests include agriculture, gender, health and nutrition, and social protection, and she uses a range of impact evaluation methods. Her work has been published in Food Policy, World Development, Journal of Development Studies, Agricultural Economics, and Social Indicators Research, among other journals. Kalyani holds a PhD in Economics from Cornell University, USA.
