Participant Guidelines

Early badge collection

On 31 August 2026, Asian Evaluation Week (AEW) participants are encouraged to register onsite and collect their ID badges in advance at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) headquarters Main Lobby, accessible through the ADB Avenue entrance, between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to avoid delays on the first day of the event.

Participants should bring a valid photo ID (e.g., passport or driver's license).

Arrival in Manila

Philippine Travel Information System

Registration is free and mandatory for all international arrivals and departures.

Register within 72 hours prior to arrival or departure.

Without registration, entry may take longer as documents will need to be verified manually upon arrival.

Visa Information

Confirm with the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate for visa requirements and processing times before making travel plans.

Visa should cover the full duration of the forum as well as your travel days. For participants who require a visa, please inform the AEW Secretariat in advance. The AEW Secretariat may provide a letter of support, if needed, to facilitate visa application.

Getting from the airport

Terminals 1 and 3

Participants arriving at Terminals 1 and 3 should proceed to the International Organizations Desk located immediately after the Customs clearance area.

Upon arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), participants should follow the airport signs to the taxi or Grab queue. The approximate rate from the airport to Ortigas Center (ADB HQ) is PHP800-1,000 (~US$13-17).

Taxi

Accredited NAIA metered taxi services on a cash basis may be taken from the airport to Ortigas Center (where ADB is located). Estimated fare: PHP1,000 (~US$16–17).

Grab (ride-hailing app)

Grab is available at the Grab booth in each Terminal. Request the booth operator to book a ride from the airport to your hotel. Estimated fare: PHP800 (~US$13–14).

Hotel accommodation near ADB headquarters

ADB rates are subject to hotel availability. The ADB rate applies only when booking directly with the hotel contact person listed below – it is not applicable for online or website bookings. Participants should indicate that they will be attending the 2026 Asian Evaluation Week and provide the dates of their stay.

Participants are encouraged to make hotel reservations as early as possible. Hotel rooms at ADB rates are limited and expected to fill quickly.

Access to ADB headquarters

Registered participants will be required to present a valid photo identification (e.g., passport, driver's license) to claim the ADB-issued building access badges. The ADB-issued building access badge must always be worn while inside ADB premises. The unique Wi-Fi username and password will be reflected on the participant's badges.

Participants are encouraged to arrive at the ADB Main Gate on 6 ADB Avenue, Mandaluyong City, 15–20 minutes before the scheduled start of the event to allow sufficient time for registration and issuance of ADB building access badges.

Security and health protocol

Participants who are feeling unwell should refrain from attending the event. Recordings of the plenary sessions will be uploaded to the IED YouTube channel @ADBevaluation.

Wearing a face mask when on the premises is optional.

Meals

Lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks are provided on event days.

Welcome Cocktail Reception

The Welcome Cocktail Reception will be held on 1 September 2026 at 5:00 pm at the ADB Staff Hub inside the ADB headquarters. Light refreshments will be served during the reception. Participants are encouraged to wear their country's traditional attire.

Dress code

Professional business attire or business casual attire is recommended.

Presentation and other materials

All presentations and/or materials will be available on asianevaluationweek.adb.org after AEW.

Departure from Manila

Participants are advised to confirm airport transfer arrangements with their hotel in advance. Alternatively, participants may take a regular taxi or book a Grab ride to the airport.

Due to the occasional heavy traffic between the Ortigas Center and the airport, it is advisable to leave for the airport at least 3 to 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure.
