Martin Schunk is an Analyst in the Evaluation Knowledge Management Unit of the Independent Evaluation Department (IEvD) at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). His work focuses on the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing to strengthen evaluation practice, knowledge management, and evidence synthesis. Prior to joining EBRD, he worked with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) at the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) in Rome and the United Nations Secretariat in New York. He holds an MA from the University of Bayreuth and has a background in applied linguistics.
