Shireen El-Wahab is a Senior Evaluator in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's (EBRD) Independent Evaluation Department, where she has worked for more than a decade. Her recent work has focused on corporate and thematic evaluations, including evaluations of EBRD's experience in countries more advanced in transition, and an evaluation of the EBRD’s policy dialogue activities.
Prior to joining evaluation, Shireen held operational roles across several multilateral development banks, working on finance and private sector development initiatives from both headquarters and field offices. This has included living and working in Indonesia and Guatemala, as well as extensive engagement across Sub-Saharan Africa.
