Mr. Akhilesh Kumar is currently working as a Director at NITI Aayog. He has 17 years of experience in data management, statistical analysis, and monitoring and evaluation. Prior to joining NITI Aayog, he worked for various organizations, taking on the role of Joint Director at the National Statistical Office; Chief Statistical Officer at the National Crime Record Bureau; and Assistant Director at the National Sample Survey Office.
Mr. Kumar applies his technical expertise in R&D planning, management, monitoring and evaluation, and data analysis. He has authored some research papers devoted to Data Analysis and Public Policy. He has also received national awards for his contributions for improvement in robust monitoring system in India.
