Liu Xian

Liu Xian works at the Institute of International Development Cooperation, Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC), Ministry of Commerce, China. Her research areas include China's foreign aid policy, foreign aid performance assessment and evaluation. She has long been involved in the evaluation of China’s aid projects, thematic evaluation and comprehensive evaluation. 

She has participated in dozens of projects for the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance, China International Development Cooperation Agency, China Export-Import Bank. She has participated in the Study on the Evaluation Indicators System of Foreign Aid Projects and the white paper China's International Development Cooperation in the New Era of CIDCA. 

She authored or co-authored the books like Study on Evaluation Practices in International Development sectorCase Studies on South-South Cooperation and China's Foreign Aid, and China and foreign aid. Ms. Liu received her Master's Degree from the Department of French of Beijing Foreign Studies University and the Department of European Studies of Paris III University.
