The 2025 Asian Evaluation Week (AEW) ended on a high note with over 200 attendees from DMCs, MDBs, UN agencies, evaluation associations, and the private sector attending the event. A total of five plenaries and twelve parallel sessions covered several important topics under the overarching theme of "Navigating Crises: Building on Successes".
Held from 1-4 September in Xi'an, China, this year’s AEW introduced two immersive formats: a dynamic World Café session that fostered small group conversations across diverse evaluation themes, and a site visit to the Shaanxi Qinling Biodiversity Conservation and Demonstration Project, where AEW participants got a chance to see the real-world evolution of a development project—by engaging directly with the project on-site.
Check out photos of the event and stay tuned as we make available session recordings and other relevant materials from the conference in the coming days.
