Rajesh brings extensive experience across the operations and evaluation arms of ADB. He has led and authored 6 Country Partnership Strategies, including ADB’s inaugural one for Türkiye and the present strategy for India. His ADB career includes serving as Principal Country Specialist in India (where he headed the programming unit), a Senior Economist for Central Asia in Uzbekistan, and an Evaluation Specialist (Governance and Capacity Development). Joining ADB in 2009 at its Independent Evaluation Department (IED), he led 5 country program evaluations and validations, participated in 3 corporate evaluations and prepared other evaluation products, covering many upper middle-income countries. Prior to ADB, Rajesh spent over 7 years at the World Bank in Washington, DC, working also in the Global ICT Department and the Independent Evaluation Group (IEG).
