Tsolmon Begzsuren serves as a Senior Social Development Specialist (Gender and Development) at ADB Gender Equality Division. She leads gender operations across People’s Republic of China, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan while serving as a gender anchor for social protection at ADB. Prior to joining Gender Equality Division in 2023, she worked for ADB’s East Asia Department front office and Mongolia Resident Mission as a gender specialist for nine years. Tsolmon has 19 years of practical experience in gender and development, and social development, specializing in policy formulation and operations. She worked with UNFPA and U.S. Millennium Challenge Corporation Program for Mongolia and provided consultancy for Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and International Finance Corporation. She is one of the first seven national gender experts recognized by Mongolia's Government in 2014. She has bachelor’s and master's degrees in international relations, focusing on international law from National University of Mongolia, and master’s degree in development studies from Waseda University, Japan.
