Dr. Uyen Kim Huynh joined the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in 2018 and leads the ‘Innovation, Learning and Uptake’ Unit. The team works to enhance the use of UNICEF’s evaluation findings and leverage innovations to improve the organization’s evaluation practices.
As an academic, Uyen has extensive experience in evaluating the progress and impact of humanitarian projects in low-income countries. She served as the Assistant Director of Policy at the Center for Globalization and Sustainable Development at Columbia University, focusing on sub-Saharan Africa. Her academic research centered on refugee health, stemming from her Ph.D. at the Harvard Program of Refugee Studies.
