Serdar Bayryyev

Serdar Bayryyev is a senior evaluation officer working for the Office of Evaluation at headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). He is an evaluation expert with more than twenty years of experience in development evaluation, results-based management, crisis prevention and recovery, governance and public sector management. His portfolio includes evaluations in thematic areas of climate action, sustainable production, integrated management of natural resources, and partnership arrangements.  

Before joining FAO, he worked for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Bank Group. As an Evaluation Specialist at UNDP, he supported formulation of the revised UNDP Evaluation Policy, design of the evaluation quality assurance system and implementation of corporate strategy for strengthening country-level evaluation capacities. 

He holds a Masters’ degree in international economics from the Ukrainian Institute of International Relations and International Law.
