Nur Abdi is the Associate Manager of Evaluation Learning and Outreach at the Islamic Development Bank’s Independent Evaluation Department (IEvD). In this role, Nur leads and supports the implementation of initiatives that advance the Bank’s evaluation learning, capacity development, and partnerships. He is responsible for the development and dissemination of the Bank’s evaluation knowledge products, which are essential in fostering an evaluative thinking culture within the Bank.
With over 20 years of professional experience in the development field, Nur has held roles of increasing responsibility, including positions at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). He holds a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from McGill University.
