Asian Evaluation Week 2026
Put Your Money Where Your Evidence Is
The Asian Evaluation Week (AEW) 2026 will convene for the first time at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Headquarters in Manila, Philippines, marking a new chapter in its more than decade-long journey as the region’s trusted platform for evidence-based dialogue at the heart of Asia’s development community.
AEW 2026 comes at a critical time: resources are tightening, risks are rising, and the global call for multilateral development banks to be “better, bigger, and more effective” is reshaping the development landscape.
AEW 2026 will highlight evaluation as a strategic asset, ensuring that every dollar spent delivers maximum impact.

Summary Note: Asian Evaluation Week 2025

This note captures the key ideas and discussions from the 10th Asian Evaluation Week (AEW), held in Xi'an, People's Republic of China, 1-4 September 2025.
The theme of the event was "Navigating Crises: Building on Successes." In keeping with AEW's tradition of emphasizing topical relevance, the meeting explored pressing issues that matter to both evaluation experts and decision-makers. These included how to build stronger evaluation systems, how to involve young people in making evaluation a part of institutions, and how global changes are influencing the way evaluations are done.
