Date
2022 AEW Days 1 and 2 Sessions

After two days of lively and engaging discussions and knowledge sharing among evaluation experts, government officials and representatives of various development organizations across the globe, we move into the third and final day of the 2022 Asian Evaluation Week.

On Day 3 of this year’s event, more insightful sessions are lined up to drill down on such key topics as geospatial imagery for evaluation, factors and strategies that make evaluations influential and enhance utilization, and climate finance and adaptation efforts in vulnerable countries.

Here’s what participants can expect on Day 3:

Session 12: Geospatial 2.0? Advances in the use of imagery data for evaluation (WB)

In this session, participants will learn about the main methodological and practical considerations for working with imagery data, including data processing techniques, image data representation, manipulation, and main areas of application within the context of evaluations. This will be illustrated by drawing examples of uses of remote sensing imagery and street-view images from recent IEG and JICA evaluations.  [VIEW POSTER]

Session 13: Ensuring Evaluation Influence and Utilization: Learning from Influential Evaluations (GEF)

In this session, participants will learn about factors and strategies that make evaluations influential and enhance utilization and uptake.  [VIEW POSTER

Session 14: Making climate finance and adaptation work for the small island developing States (SIDS) and the least developed countries (LDCs)? Lessons from evaluations (GCF)

Countries particularly vulnerable to climate change also face specific challenges in accessing climate finance. In this session, the panelists will share key evaluative lessons related to access to climate finance and adaptation efforts in vulnerable countries such as the small island developing States (SIDS) and the least developed countries (LDCs).   [VIEW POSTER
