One more week till the 2023 AEW in Bangkok

Date
2023 AEW Countdown - 1 Week to Go

The 2023 Asian Evaluation Week is just around the corner. Preparations are in high gear with the event just one week away, and excitement is building up as we prepare to return to the in-person staging of the conference after doing it virtually for the past three years.

Scheduled from 11-14 September, the 2023 AEW will be held at the InterContinental Bangkok. Around 180 participants have already registered for the event which will feature 81 speakers across 3 plenary and 20 parallel sessions. The overarching theme of the 2023 AEW is “Beyond Recovery: Evaluation for Development Effectiveness”.

Among the sessions to look forward to this year are: Accountability Talks, a 60-minute TED style talk on accountability from different perspectives, exploring accountability mechanisms to ensure that governments and International Financial Institutions (IFIs) are answerable to their authorizing environments and to the people impacted by sustainable development policies; and Evaluation Headlines Live, where heads of evaluations from some of the world's most respected IFIs will discuss how the development community can refocus its efforts in tackling our shared challenges of inclusive growth, climate change, inflation, cross-border free trade and rising food insecurity as the world moves beyond the COVID-19 recovery phase.
