Dr. Cristiano Rossignoli is an economist with a PhD in Agricultural Economics and an MSc in Animal Production Science from the University of Pisa (Italy), as well as an MSc in Sustainable Aquaculture from Stirling University (UK). 

With over 15 years of experience, he specializes in Impact Assessment and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), working on international projects focused on enhancing livelihoods, nutrition, and food security. Cristiano has held significant roles at the University of Pisa, FAO, and Oxfam, contributing to food security initiatives in countries such as Afghanistan, Mali, the Gaza Strip, and Thailand. 

He is currently a visiting researcher at the Institute for Future Initiatives at the University of Tokyo (Japan), where he collaborates on research related to the impacts and sustainability of aquaculture and fishery systems. Cristiano leads the CGIAR Initiative on Aquatic Foods and serves as the MEL and Impact Assessment Research Leader for WorldFish.
