Edward Rees is an expert on peace and development in fragile and conflict-affected situations (FCAS). He joined ADB in 2023 after a career with the United Nations (UN) and NGOs focused on political affairs, peacekeeping, development, and human rights.
With over two decades of experience in Bangladesh, Haiti, Indonesia, Kosovo, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Timor-Leste, Edward has also consulted for the International Crisis Group and the World Bank’s Justice for the Poor program and served at the UN headquarters, working on change management in peace operations. He holds degrees from McGill University and King’s College (University of London).
