Shimako Takahashi is Evaluation Specialist at Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s Independent Evaluation Department. She has over twenty years of combined experience in managing projects and conducting evaluations. She specializes in rural resilience and natural resources management, including agroecosystem and forest management.
Before joining ADB, she worked for the United Nations University, FAO, UNDP Vietnam, and Japan International Cooperation Agency.
Shimako holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Tokyo University of Science. She received academic training and research experience at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, the National Institute of Genetics, Japan, and Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, USA.
