Global Environment Facility (GEF)

Silke Heuser is an Evaluation Officer at the Independent Evaluation Office of the Global Environment Facility (GEF IEO), which she joined in July 2023. She leads evaluations on chemicals and waste, project-level risk, and private sector engagement.
Prior to joining the GEF IEO, she served as Advisor to the German Executive Director at the World Bank Board and held evaluation roles at the World Bank’s Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) and the Evaluation Department of the German Development Bank (KfW).
Silke holds a Ph.D. in Governance and Policy Analysis from Maastricht University, as well as master’s degrees from Harvard University and Berlin University.
