Sonia Chand Sandhu leads Evaluation Capacity Development at the Independent Evaluation Department at the Asian Development Bank. Thirty years of international development in cross sector infrastructure operations experience (South Asia, SE Asia and Africa) spans ADB, World Bank, and the private sector in project management, environment safeguards and monitoring and evaluation and knowledge management.
Sonia’s key work areas include livable cities, climate adaptation, environment policy reform, coastal and watershed protection. She holds a Masters in Environment Engineering from College Park, Maryland, USA, a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Chandigarh, India, Executive Education certificate in the “Leading Economic Growth” Program, from Harvard University, and an Executive Diploma in “Urban Management Tools for Climate Change” from Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies, Rotterdam, Netherlands.
