Dr. Rose McKenzie is a seasoned development professional with over 25 years of experience across 33 countries in Asia and the Pacific, currently leading strategic operations for the Asian Development Bank’s response to member countries experiencing fragility and conflict, as well as big ocean states across the region, building stability and resilience dividends, and helping create a better and more equitable future for all.
She has served for over a decade in ministerial subregional secretariats in Central, South, and East Asia, bringing governments together through regional cooperation to build trust and mutual respect, and generate strong development outcomes through coordinated multi-sector investment planning, design, and implementation. Her technical expertise has supported ADB subregional efforts to enable national customs administrations, in collaboration with the private sector, to comply with WCO and WTO protocols, facilitating faster and less costly cross-border trade. Prior to joining ADB, Rose led long-term strategic planning and program development with international NGOs.
