Former Special Senior Advisor to the ADB President, Visiting Professor

Xianbin Yao is a visiting professor in Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute and formerly a Special Senior Advisor to the President of Asian Development Bank. He has over thirty years of experience in international development finance mostly with Asian Development Bank. He had served as senior positions in ADB leading teams for Pacific operations, corporate-wide sector and thematic operations including infrastructure, environment, climate change, food security, social development, public sector management and regional cooperation. Mr. Yao received his doctoral degree in Agricultural Economics from the Michigan State University, United States of America.
