Yeonji Kim is an Evaluation Uptake Specialist at the Green Climate Fund’s Independent Evaluation Unit, where she leads efforts to amplify the use of evaluation insights through strategic communications, knowledge dissemination, and stakeholder engagement.
She serves as a member of the UNEG working group on use of evaluation. With over 13 years of experience across GCF, UNFCCC, IFC, and UNESCAP, she has contributed to global climate evaluation, and learning and uptake, particularly in climate resilience. Her interdisciplinary background includes a Master’s in Public Policy from Duke University Sanford School and a B.A. in International Development Studies from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) summa cum laude.
Prior to her climate career, she was a senior political correspondent and news anchor at Arirang TV, Korea’s global broadcaster—bringing a unique lens to storytelling and public discourse. She thrives at the intersection of climate, evaluation, and communications.
