Digital public finance serves as a critical enabler for modernizing budget governance and upgrading performance management systems in the new era. This session centers on China's practice of leveraging digital public finance to empower performance evaluation, systematically reviewing the country's reform efforts to reshape public fund performance evaluation processes through digital and intelligent means within an integrated budget management framework. It highlights key digital governance pathways, including cross-sector data integration and sharing, intelligent and precise analytical capabilities, end-to-end online process monitoring, and closed-loop rectification of identified problems. Against the backdrop of global fiscal digital transformation, and in response to shared challenges such as fragmented performance data, inconsistent evaluation criteria, and delayed oversight across countries, this session aims to build an international platform for dialogue and exchange, offering practical Chinese experience to support the digital upgrading of performance governance and the refinement of public fund supervision worldwide.
